About NOMOS
NOMOS Glashütte is based in the renowned watchmaking town of Glashütte, Germany, where its mechanical timepieces are designed and manufactured. It’s rare for a watchmaker to produce its own escapement — the device that permits controlled motion, usually in steps — think the tick-tock sound. NOMOS does. In fact, all 13 of its calibers are produced in-house in Glashütte. The multi-award-winning German company also is influenced by the principles of the Bauhaus movement, which provided that luxury doesn’t mean ornamentation; rather the “honesty” of the materials inspires the minimalist design.
